Moments in Motion Event Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket, registering for or attending a Moments in Motion (“MIM”) event, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Participation and personal responsibility
Attendees participate in MIM events voluntarily and are responsible for deciding whether they can safely take part in any activity, movement, pose or creative setup.
Attendees must follow all reasonable instructions given by MIM, the venue team and event organisers. Please inform an organiser immediately if you notice a hazard or feel uncomfortable participating in an activity.
2. Risk and liability
MIM will take reasonable steps to provide a safe and organised environment. However, attendees acknowledge that photography events may involve risks associated with movement, lighting stands, cables, props, furniture, photography equipment and other attendees.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MIM will not be responsible for:
Injury, loss or damage caused by an attendee’s actions, carelessness or failure to follow instructions;
Loss, theft or damage involving cameras, lenses, clothing, phones or other personal belongings;
The actions, behaviour or services of another attendee, photographer, model, venue or independent third party;
Indirect losses, loss of income, missed opportunities or dissatisfaction with the images created;
Circumstances outside MIM’s reasonable control.
Nothing within these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by MIM’s negligence.
Attendees remain responsible for their own equipment and belongings throughout the event.
3. Photography and filming at the event
MIM events are collaborative photography and content-creation environments. Attendees should expect to be photographed or filmed by MIM, participating photographers, videographers and other attendees.
By attending, you acknowledge that your image, likeness and participation may appear in photographs or videos captured during the event.
MIM may use event photographs and video footage for reasonable promotional and editorial purposes, including:
The MIM Instagram and other social-media channels;
The MIM website;
Event listings and promotional materials;
Email newsletters;
MIM portfolios, event recaps and future event promotion.
MIM will not sell an attendee’s likeness to a third party or use it to suggest their personal endorsement of an unrelated product or service without additional permission.
If you do not wish to appear in MIM promotional content, you must contact MIM before the event and notify the organiser when you arrive. MIM will take reasonable steps to accommodate your request, although incidental inclusion in wide group or crowd photographs may not always be avoidable.
Requests concerning an image already published by MIM can be sent to [insert MIM email address]. MIM will consider reasonable requests regarding its future use or removal where practicable. However, MIM cannot guarantee the removal of images independently published or shared by photographers or other attendees.
4. Photographer and model responsibilities
Photographers must treat models and other attendees respectfully. They must obtain clear permission before initiating physical contact, adjusting clothing or requesting sensitive, revealing or potentially unsafe poses.
Models have the right to decline any pose, styling choice, physical contact or creative request that makes them feel uncomfortable.
Attendees must not capture or publish content that is degrading, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate or likely to cause harm or serious embarrassment.
Unless otherwise agreed, photographers retain the copyright to the images they create.
Photographers and models are responsible for agreeing directly on image delivery, editing, credits, portfolio use, commercial use and any additional restrictions.
Participation does not guarantee that a model will receive images from every photographer or that a photographer will work with every model.
5. Image use and credits
Photographers may use images they create at the event for their portfolios, websites and social-media accounts, provided the images are used respectfully.
Models may use any images provided to them by photographers for their portfolios, websites, social media and personal promotional purposes. Copyright remains with the photographer unless otherwise agreed.
When sharing images created at an MIM event, attendees must credit everyone involved wherever reasonably possible, including:
The photographer;
The model or models;
Moments in Motion as the event host — @momentsinmotionclub;
The creative director, stylist, makeup artist and any other participating creatives.
Images must not be sold, licensed to a third-party brand or used in paid advertising without permission from both the photographer and any identifiable model.
MIM is not responsible for enforcing private image-delivery, usage or credit agreements between attendees.
6. Conduct
MIM is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unsafe behaviour, unwanted physical contact or persistent disregard for another attendee’s boundaries will not be tolerated.
MIM may refuse entry or remove an attendee whose behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate. No refund will be provided where removal results from a breach of these terms.
7. Tickets, cancellations and changes
Tickets may be transferred to another person through the CLIQ app. The ticket holder is responsible for ensuring that the transfer is completed correctly before the event.
Tickets are otherwise non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by MIM. Where possible, MIM may offer a ticket credit at its discretion.
MIM may make reasonable changes to the schedule, venue, models, creative direction or event format where necessary. These changes will not automatically entitle attendees to a refund where the event can still take place substantially as advertised.
If MIM cancels the event, attendees will receive a refund of the ticket price paid. MIM will not be responsible for associated travel, accommodation or other expenses.
8. Attendees under 18
Anyone under the age of 18 may attend only with MIM’s prior approval and written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Additional photography and image-use permission may be required from the attendee’s parent or legal guardian.
9. Agreement
By purchasing a ticket, registering for or attending an MIM event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
